You should build an opt in list to ensure that your online business is profitable now and in the future. Don’t delay building your list. The moment you start to build an opt in list is the moment it starts making money for you.

Don’t fall into the trap of adding people to your list without their permission. Yes, your list will grow but unfortunately spam doesn’t pay. There isn’t one business out there that has managed to use spam successfully. Build opt in list consisting only of people who genuinely want to be on your list and who have given you the thumbs up. Add a simple sign-up form to the pages of your website and tell your visitors what they can expect to receive if they do sign-up. You could offer them a free download e.g. an ebook as a thank-you gift for signing up.

An auto-responder service can help you to build opt in list. This service helps by automating repetitive tasks e.g. when a subscriber opts-in they will receive a confirmation email straight away.

You will need to give visitors to your website a very good reason why they should sign-up to your list. After all, “build opt in list” is your main aim. Your subscribers will expect to receive information that is relevant, useful and interesting. You will have to go out of you way to ensure that everything you send out falls into all of these categories. This is not your opportunity to send out as many advertisements as possible. This is your opportunity to fulfill your customer’s needs by providing the content they requested in the first place.

“Build Opt in List” should be your mantra to get you focused on the task at hand.

Build an Email List to Grow Your Customer Base

Build an Email List to Grow Your Customer Base Successful email marketers all started the same way and that’s with building an email list. The importance of this first step cannot be stressed enough. Perhaps you are just dabbling as an affiliate marketer; even then you should start establishing your list. You won’t be able to tap into the power of email marketing without a list. You don’t have to build it overnight. Make the commitment and do it gradually over time and before you know it you will be reaping the benefits.

Consider these techniques to get visitors to sign-up:

  • Build an email list by using great software specifically designed to help with list building. List building takes time and list building software can greatly reduce the amount of time it take to get up and running with list marketing.

  • Build an email list by offering a giveaway in return for signing-up.

  • Build an email list by including a sign-up form on all pages of your website.

  • Build an email list by including a “refer a friend” button.

  • Build an email list by ensuring the signing-up process is easy and straightforward.

You might have already heard the saying, “content is king”. If you haven’t, you should remember these important words. You need to ensure that your email content is gripping and of some use to the reader. Don’t send messages for the sake of it especially ones just full of advertisements. Always ensure that your content is original. Build email list to ensure your business remains competitive and don’t forget to keep your list maintained.

Well just thought I would add my favourite song of all time in. Helps me through those days where you feel as if Internet Marketing won’t work & gives me the inspiration to get up and get some work done

"Just A Small Time Girl ", you know the lyrics, "Don’t stop believin", in this internet marketing world,

Enjoy!!

Good Day Everyone!!

Alex jeffreys has reminded us that even when the coaching ends it’s the start of our internet career and this subject is the main focus of the coaching. You need to know how to build an automated business before you can automate a business. This is automated business but not a get rich over night quick scheme. It’s a get rich forever scheme.

People don’t like the failing before they succeed.

List Building & Email marketing 2 different things;

List Building: If people are saying they can’t build a list then they don’t know how to drive traffic.

Email Marketing: If people are saying they are building a list, but not making any money then they don’t know how to email market.

When you do build a list it’s going to grow one by one. Start small think big.
As you grow so does your following. It takes time!!

Business is easy, but people make it hard. Focus on results not excuses.
You will face days where there gloomy you, you haven’t got a plan no direction and when they do come just push through them.

If you’ve been trying to build a list and your not having much luck you need to know why your not, you need to know what’s holding u back. It’s not your traits it’s your constraints that hold you back, what’s slowing you down?

SO WHATS A TRIPLE THREAT AFFILIATE?

Alex Jeffrey’s is a triple threat affiliate after implementing a system Andrew Fox invented. It Took Alex Jeffrey’s Business from $10,000 a month to $20,000 a month with the same size of list. Before Alex used this system he would typically get 20% of his email list open an email he would send out and 10% of them would click any links he inclluded in that particular email.

Andrew Fox taught him to segment his list into 3 groups after he sent an email;

Group 1: Opened email and clicked link.
Group 2: Opened email and did not click the link.
Group 3: Did not open the email.

We can now write an email just to group 1 these are the super responsive ones and more likely to buy.

For Group 2 resend the email and ask why they never clicked the link.

For Group 3 resend the email and ask them open the email.

After this repeat the process, eventually whoevers still on Group 1 or Group 2 kick them off your list. Harsh yes, but why have them there if they can’t open your email or click your link.

MAIN THINGS TO DO WHEN SENDING AN EMAIL TO YOUR LIST

  • Show an interest in your list don’t try and just try and hard sell them. In this day and age people get swamped with emails.
  • So you need to create the best subject lines so they open your email.
  • Be personal create a story line so people want to follow along.
  • Swipe other people’s (internet marketers, or people in the same niche) emails and see what works for them.

Well definently something for me to implement in the future and I really can’t wait. Alex is really sharing everything he knows with us.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Take Care

Graeme

Hi

So as the name suggest this module, "Traffic Tornados", which is the 5th coaching module brought to me by Alex Jeffreys, is another module dedicated to driving traffic to your site and quite rightly so as we all know if you have no traffic you’ll get no sales. Theres a million ways to make a million dollars online, but to make a single cent online you need traffic.

To start off Alex gave us an overview of his journey online so far and I must admit theres not many internet marketers who would give such figures of what they’ve made every year online;

2006: Alex Jeffreys learned IM and made $2000
2007: He released first ebook made $115,000
2008: Made $500,000
2009: Alex Jeffreys is projected to make $1000,000

I think you’ll agree what a jump Alex Jeffreys made from 2006 to 2007.

"You can make more friends in 2 months by becoming more interested in other people than you can in 2 years by trying to get people interested in you", Dale Carnegie. This saying is powerful more than u could ever believe. U can make it real big if you apply this technique.

The whole process of internet marketing is simple but its not easy to apply!!

Ok so lets get into the traffic techniques Alex showed us in this module.

Forums: Great place to tap into the traffic stream and pick up JVs, but don’t go there and pimp your stuff. Go in and view the conversation and join where your target market is bam you can quickly cash in. If tell people something they don’t care but if you don’t tell them they become intrigued. When Alex started out he went to forums everyday not anymore, just really to get his signature line there.

Ezine Articles: Although Alex has only ever written 2 articles himself he’s not proud of that and wishes he wrote more.

One of Alex’s articles has 374 views after about 2 years (which is by no means great). But article marketing which is sometimes known as bum marketing is peowerful stuff for example based on Alex’s article above ;

  • If he wrote 100 articles then 100 articles x 374 views = 37,400 views.
  • If 25% clicked his link to his squeeze page = 9,350 click throughs.
  • If the squeeze page converts (a sale is made) at 40% = 3,740 people added to his list (assuming a free product is given away for list building purposes).

Lets look at it this way you can get articles written for $5 each.
100 articles = $500 = 3,740 people subscribed to your list $3,740 per month income!!

Alex Jeffreys didn’t write 2 articles and quit he levereged. Create value and others will write articles about you.

Blogging: I know this was spoke about in the last module, but Alex has went into this even further in this module. If you go to www.siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com  (I think you may need to sign up, but its free) and type in the website/blog address in the "explore url" field at the top of the page. Then go down to the results area and click on the "inlinks" button and you can not only see the number of links linking to that website but you can see what sites these are and by doing a bit of reverse engineering you can also post your own links to your websites on these sites.

Press Releases: If you visit, www.prweb.com you can write a press release about a release of a new ebook, a new blog etc. For more press release sites simply do a search in google, type in "list of press release directorys" to see a complete list. Some of the sites are free some are not.

Ebay: Yes the dreaded Ebay, lol. I say that as I have a love hate relationship with them. I found they where good a long time ago but with all their policys in place they can be a pain!! , but as there something like the 19th most visited site on the internet how can you dismiss them.

Traffic Geyser: www.trafficgeyser.com Videos these days rule, if you want to get ranked highly for keywords then this site submits your video to loads of video directories and also makes a podcast of your video. I have joined up to this site and its something like $45 a month. I have yet to do any videos but I know having this weapon at my disposal it should get me loads traffic. You can send the same video out for different keywords. Look out in the near future as I will be giving a review on it.

Twitter: So we are in the new age of internet marketing and social media is the way forward. Before the Alex Jeffreys coaching course I had never used twitter but every internet marketer whos worth their salt is on there, its time to jump on & see what the buzz is about!!

Well what can I say with so many methods to get traffic its time to get to work!!

Until Next Time..

Again would love to hear your comments..

Graeme

Hello

"Social Media Money" is the first module where we will be starting to learn how to drive traffic. Alex stressed that if anyone skips this module then 90% will underachieve.

But first a great incentive was offered to get us to get things rolling. A competition to see who could get the most traffic to our blogs by the 14th of August 2009 in which Alex would pay $1000 to the winner from his own pocket. Talk about getting people motivated who else would do that?

Now obviously by the time you read this the competition is over, but we are actually still awaiting the winner to be announced and I will try and share this when they become available.

The rules where as follows;

  • You must put on your blog how your driving traffic.
  • Must install google analytics not only so  it can be seen where the traffic is coming, but to show your statistics for the 2 week period.

Now I have been making some efforts, but I never entered, again because of the problems I had, but let me assure you I am going to be hitting this hard throughout the next coming weeks and will share my results.

Alex touched on what was talked about in the last coaching module basically to leave comments on other fellow student blogs and also other blogs with high PR’s.
I will post more info on this in the coming weeks!!

Blogging Might Sound Like Hard Work But Its Not!!!

  • 80% of your efforts will drive 20% of your traffic.
  • 20% of your efforts will drive 80% of your traffic.

Its all about trying to find and monitor what least effort your making which brings the highest amount of traffic.

KEYWORDS: These should be implemeted into your blog posts even if it means taking an extra 5m for your posts. Alex doesn’t do any keyword research when he blogs, but remeber his business is already built up he has active readers by the thousands. I promise I will try and get some videos or posts up about how to do keyword research. Its on my to do list.

TRAFFIC METHODS: Ok I plan to put up a category dedicated to this so you can see what I am doing to drive traffic to this blog, but in the meantime heres the best ways to drive traffic, suggested from the man himself;

  • Posting on other blogs.
  • Give aways (Free products).
  • Once you have a list you can drive to new blog posts.
  • Twitter. This is new to me but will take the dive in due course.
  • You Tube. Heard about this before so will be taking steps to get a video on it (em,  eventually a few, quite a few, lol).
  • Review what other blogs, related to driving traffic are doing to drive traffic.
  • Your own methods if you know any (I might but they could be the same as whats in the next coaching modules, will wait and see whats to come before going into these).

That about wraps it up for this module again I’ll keep you updated on what methods I am using to drive traffic as when I started Alex program my visitors where 0. So hopefully when the traffic comes in I can show you my google analytics account.

"Remember All The Big Guns Started With Zero Traffic. The Hardest & Most Effort From Driving Traffic Comes When Your Starting Out,  After That It Should Be On Autopilot"

I would love to hear your best ways to drive traffic to your website!!!

Please as always feel free to share this is your space too  !!
Until next time, Graeme!

Hi

In this module "Marketing Mafia Money" I’ve got to say what a name I thought dodgy things wur going to be taught .  I was thinking we might have been given "books" to collect money for Tony Soprano!! Thankfully I was wrong.

The importance of having a Blog was the main topic for this module. Why most people find blog posts (writing your own content) quite daunting. I must say when I  first created this blog these words couldn’t have been truer and probably to a certain degree I still do find it slightly scary, but it becomes easier with every post.

Alex hit home about how blogs are a great place to make yourself accountable for everything you do online in if you document it on your blog then it should make YOU TAKE ACTION. This makes perfect sense and I never really thought of it that way.

I couldn’t believe it when he said how he could create ebooks just by the comments his readers posted and wur talking ebooks which have made him multiple thousands of dollars WOW!. Imagine being able to do that, unreal, lol.

There are 3 types of people in this world:

  1. People who don’t learn from their mistakes.
  2. People who do learn from their mistakes.
  3. People who learn from others mistakes.

I would like to think 2 & 3 apply to me!!. This is why students of Ales’s program have access to a forum with over 500 students in it with all levels of internet marketing experience and let me tell you some of th guys & girls in there are out of this world.

Ok so whats the marketing mafia all about? Well its a brilliant tool which was developed by a great internet marketer called Dave Nicholson. If you look on the home page of my blog you’ll see a category called "Alex Jeffrey’s Coaching IM Superstars". This is basically a list of the coaching students which randomises when you refresh the page. BIG DEAL you say, well it is a big deal because what this allows all of us to do is visit each others blogs and leave comments. Think about it 500 students leave a comment on each blog. Not only is it building backlinks to your own blog its helping each student to get content via comments and also get your comment noticed by people outside the community. Because all 500 of us will eventually be going outwith the community to get traffic WOW (again,lol). Basically we should own a piece of the net.

AND wur not even into the Traffic modules yet!!

What I find with a lot of Mr Jeffrey’s stuff theres a lot of common sense and simple stuff which you don’t really expect. I have never witnessed this with any other programs I have done, but I like it & if it makes me money so much the better. I really can’t see how it can’t.

Until Next Time…

Please feel free to leave your thoughts…

Ok so I am a bit behind putting this information up as it was a few weeks ago. Things have just been so busy with me trying to get my blog up and running, things have also been a bit hectic at my day job and I am also trying to get an office set up for myself in my spare room!!

But anyways the main "focus", , yes "focus" can’t say that word now without doing it in a welsh accent as Alex always says it & its ringing in my head, lol. Ok so this time the main concept was that we have to get a product out there on the web for a number of reasons;

  • To Build A List!
  • To Make Money!
  • To Get Known & Gather A Fan Base!

Kindly Alex has gave all the students a ebook which is brandable, meaning our own names, website will be implemented into it hence we introduce Viral Marketing on to our skill set. This will be given away free, yes I said free, but this is what will build our list.

So;

  1. We have an ebook which will be given away free!!
  2. The ebook will be Viral!!

But theres more we can also make money directly from this ebook as theres an upsell. What this means is when the person fills in their name and e-mail address they will be taken to an upsell page. This is a better version of the original product which they can buy. If they choose not to buy then they still get their free ebook and we get their name for out list.

Lastly Alex has set the goal for all the coaching students to get a list of 1500 people. With a list this size anyone should be able to bring in $1500 per month, because 1 person on your list should equal $1 per month.

"Winning Means Being Unafraid To Lose", Robert Kiyosaki

Since Alex keeps going on about us coaching students creating our piece of the internet and to post on each others blogs this is what I plan to do now so I already have some people added into a folder shown below, but will be adding more blogs into it as I come across it.

So if you haven’t done it yet it would be good if you create a folder ( I called mine AJs Coaching Students Blogs) in your favourites in whatever web browser you use and add every blog in as you come across them that way it makes it so asy just to go through each one and leave a comment if you wish.

A Paid Self Hosting Blog Vs A Free Blog

Hi If you read my bio you will know that I initially set this blog up when I was in John Thornhill’ s coaching program, but I never really done anything with it content wise so I just reinstalled it which wiped any posts I had.

So this means I am starting fresh on this blog !!

Now the first thing you want to do online is to establish a name for yourself and theres no better way to do it than creating a blog.

This blog was set up with the hosting company which I use, D9 hosting. I found they offered excellent value as you can host as many websites as you wish, also they have a ton of video tutorials to walk you through the whole process of setting up your website and there support is outstanding.

Here are a few hosting companies you may wish to consider;

D9Hosting
(from $7.95 per month)

Host Gator
(from $4.95 per month)

1and1
(from $3.99 per month + 3 months free)

If possible you want to get pay for your own hosting for your blog. The reason for this is because you own your blog and it can never be shut down as long as you are doing nothing illegal.

Imagine using a free blog such as blogger and you had built your online business on this over many years and one day you try to log in and your blogs gone because they shut you down, well this does happen so if you have the cash and remember our number one aim is to build an online business so expect to invest a little money in initial set up. Using your own hosting also lets your name or company name only to be used in your domain name meaning you are only advertising yourself.

If you used blogger and you wanted the name of your blog to be your own name then lets say your name was John Smith then your domain name would have to be something like http://www.johnsmith.blogspot.com opposed to the self hosting option where it would be http://www.johnsmith.com

If you ask me the self hosting option is alot better looking as your not associated with another companies name. Think about it… Do you think big companies such as Mcdonalds, or IBM would take the 1st option, they wouldn’t !!

As you can see I have used my name graeme ashe as my domain name.

So the next thing to do is purchase your domain name I purchased mine from 1and1 , but if you have signed up for hosting you usually get the first one free. If not here are some recommended ones;

Then all you want to do is point the domain name to your hosting servers. Its a real easy process your hosting provider should be able to help you do this, if not give me a shout I’ll be happy to help !!

Until next time…….

Graeme
